COURSE TITLE:  Biochemistry 
COURSE:  Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology 404 
COURSE DESCRIPTION:  A general overview of the chemistry of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids; structural properties of proteins, nucleic acid, and membranes; enzymology; and selected aspects of carbohydrate metabolism. Appropriate for graduate and advanced undergraduate students in agricultural, biological, chemical, and nutritional sciences. For a complete survey of biochemistry, students should take BBMB 405 after completing this course. PREREQUISITES:  Chemistry 332 (Organic Chemistry) or similar 2-semester organic chemistry course; Instructor permission is required
