COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This is an elective track course within the Community Development On-line Master's Program, a program through the Great Plains IDEA consortium. It will focus on alternative approaches to helping Native communities build their community and economic capacity. Students will learn participatory, culture-centered, and strength-based approaches to community development.
PREREQUISITES:  Graduate classification; Offered through the Great Plains IDEA consortium, students will need to contact Carrie Brus for registration information and enrollment; cbrus@iastate.edu
CREDITS:  3 graduate credits
