Computer Requirements

Use of a computer will be required for all students completing distance education courses.
A computer that is closer to the Recommended Requirements will provide a more enjoyable and educationally valuable experience.
Dialup connections are not suitable for streaming video.
Windows 98, ME, NT are no longer supported.

Pentium® 4 at 3.0 GHz or higher
2 GB RAM or greater
Broadband internet connection (384 Kbps DSL / Cable Modem)
CD-ROM drive
Windows® XP with Service Pack 3 & current patches, or Windows® Vista with Service Pack 1& current patches
Supported Browsers (check for recent updates)
- Internet Explorer
- Firefox
You may also be required to install the following software:
- Acrobat Reader
- Windows Media Player
- Flash Player
- Java (if the class uses WebCT)
- iTunes (if podcasts are offered)
- RealPlayer
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
